Picture MUST credit: Mattel US basketball legend LeBron James has been immortalised as a Ken doll for the Barbie brand. The 40-year-old NBA superstar, still playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, is honoured with becoming the first doll in Barbie's new Kenbassadors line. The athlete's doll is taller than a standard Ken to reflect the real-life LeBron's 2.06 metre height. It is also to be sold in larger packaging to mirror the basketball star's physical presence and influence. Ahead of Ken's 65th anniversary in 2026, the brand is spotlighting individuals who champion change and inspire young people calling Kenbassadors. A spokesperson for US maker Mattel said: " LeBron's a true leader—an activist, philanthropist, and champion for others both on and off the court. "A change maker and taste maker, this LeBron James Ken doll embodies his signature elevated streetwear style.” The doll comes decked out in custom streetwear that he helped design himself.
