Her ex-husband, Prince Andrew , with whom she shares a home, was gifted the two dogs on her death. Fergie, Duchess of York , 65, shared the video of her and the two dogs on her Instagram page on Christmas Eve in the grounds of the home, Royal Lodge, at Windsor. She said: "It's a time of reflection and I just want to say thank you and a huge embrace of goodness and kindness to those of you who have been so kind and so supportive. "People all over the world who are feeling low or sad, just take some joyous bubbles from us here, we're sending you so much. ‘"You must just keep showing light, turning to the light and finding the joy and saying thank you and I really think that's so important so, thank you.” It comes after Andrew, 63, pulled out of joining brother King Charles and theRoyal Family for their traditional Christmas at the country home of Sandringham, in Norfolk. He decided to give the gathering a miss after it emerged a close acquaintance is an alleged Chinese spy. It is understood that Charles was hoping Fergie would talk Andrew out of attending, instead of the king having to formally forbid him from attending. It was claimed in the UK press that Charles and wife Camilla made clear privately it would be a 'blessing' if Sarah were to persuade her ex-husband to withdraw from public gatherings. Sarah has faced her own heath issues. Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was diagnosed with breast cancer during a routine screening and underwent a mastectomy in 2023.Then earlier in 2024 she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer, after reconstructive surgery for breast cancer when her dermatologist noticed a suspicious mole during the surgery.
