Picture MUST credit: Warner Bros. Here's a first look at relatively unknown actor David Corenswet as the Man of Steel in a reboot of Superman. And the brief teaser trailer has a surprising star — in the shape of Superman's dog Krypto American Corenswet, 31, takes up the red cloak after Englishman Henry Cavill, 41 who starred in three films as the comic book hero from the planet Krypton. Rachel Brosnahan, 34, best known for her role in Amazon Prime comedy drama The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, plays newspaper reporter Lois Lane from The Daily Planet where Superman works undercover as alter ego Clark Kent. The trailer begins with the supposedly indestructible superhero crashing down to earth in a snow covered wilderness. He is clearly hurt and blood oozes from his mouth. But he is able to whistle — and bring cloaked Krypton raising to his side. He then asks the pooch to take him home and it obeys by dragging him off. Another surprise is a reprise of the Superman theme music from the late 70s and early Eighties films that starred the late Christopher Reeve although played in a more modern, muted style.
