The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, 1st Battalion Mercian Regiment, will visit the Regiment for a Christmas event for families at Picton Barracks on Tuesday 10th December.On arrival, His Royal Highness will meet with soldiers and their families, to hear more about their experiences and roles within the Mercian Regiment. The soldiers The Prince will meet are from different ranks across the Battalion and have gone above beyond in their roles through charityfundraising, volunteering and helping with extracurricular activities.Following this, The Prince will help give out gifts to the children of the families and then listen to songs from a Fijian choir who are formed of soldiers from the Mercian Regiment., Credit:Richard Pohle / Avalon
