Annonce d'un avion de ligne révolutionnaire - Picture MUST credit: Natilus An aerospace start-up has unveiled plans for the company's first passenger aircraft. Called Horizon, the aircraft has an innovative blended-wing-body design capable of transporting 200 passengers with cargo along intercontinental routes. The advantage of the blended wing design is that it doesn't have a join between the wing and the fuselage, greatly reducing drag. A blended wing aircraft can also be made with much more interior space for cargo, passengers, or fuel. The California company behind it, Natilus, says the liner will carry up to 200 passengers from New York to London for example, with 50% lower emissions.It is claimed to have 40% greater volume in each aircraft compared to tube-and-wing configurations. The plan is for Horizon to enable commercial airlines to deliver an improved flight experience with a customisable cabin and seating layouts. Picture supplied by JLPPA
