Opis:
(EDITORS NOTE: Image depicts death.) Remains of a 13th-century monk uncovered in a medieval sacristy within the grounds of Westminster Abbey. Monks kept their vestments, altar linens, chalices and other sacred items used in mass here. Ultimately the site was used as a burial ground thought to contain the bones of hundreds of buried bodies, ahead of a visit to The Westminster Abbey Sacristy project at Westminster Abbey on October 03, 2024 in London, England. The Sacristy is a newly constructed building, set to be named The King Charles III Sacristy in tribute to His Majesty The King, of which Queen Camilla became patron of earlier this year. It is being developed to incorporate modernised facilities for welcoming visitors, security, and ticketing, ensuring that the Abbey remains a preserved and untouched sacred space, celebrated for its beauty and significance.
