Pictures must credit: 1X A company behind a humanoid robot designed for home and factory use have unveiled a prototype for real world testing. It will be placed in a select number of homes to prove its worth and safety. The NEO Beta is described as a "significant advancement in robotics” that goes beyond "traditional, stiff robots” with nature inspired designs that can safely work among people. The launch marks a major milestone for Norway based 1X as the company transitions from conceptual development to bringing humanoid robots into consumer households. NEO has been designed to be produced at scale in the company's factory in Moss, Norway. CEO Bernt Børnich said: "Our priority is safety. "Safety is the cornerstone that allows us to confidently introduce NEO Beta into homes, where it will gather essential feedback and demonstrate its capabilities in real-world settings. "This year, we are deploying a limited number of NEO units in selected homes for research and development purposes.
