Pictures must credit: Rolls-Royce Motor Cars A limited edition Rolls-Royce limousine with a £2 million GBP €2.35 million euros price tag has been unveiled — and the run of 10 cars has already sold out. The striking Phantom ScintillaPrivate Collection by the luxury British car maker has marble-inspired interiors featuring hundreds of thousands of embroidery stitches. It was created to mark the iconic manufacturer's 120th anniversary and the exclusive marque's Spirit of Ecstasy winged bonnet mascot. Each interior took more than 40 hours or more to produce due to the hand-crafted leather detailing. Artisans used different threads of varying thickness and colours to create the luminescent marbling effect across the interior's grey-blue seats. The inside of the rear doors and seats have a total of 869,500 individual stitches on the twill fabric. The Starlight headlining features 500 fibre-optic ‘stars', all placed and fitted by hand in a unique pattern. These illuminate in sequence to offer a sense of motion. The design is completed with a further 4,450 perforations deliberately made larger than usual to reveal glimpses of a metallic silver fabric beneath, creating a subtle interplay of light.
