Pictures must credit: Propstore A fedora hat worn by Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones in hit movie the Temple of Doom has sold for $630,000 USD / €573.515 euros at auction. The screen-and-photo-matched fedora was made specifically for the 1984 second instalment of the Indiana Jones series. It matches film shots, production stills, and behind-the-scenes footage of Ford in the village set on location in Sri Lanka, mine cart chase and river sequence shot in the U.S. The hat was also worn by the late stunt performer Dean Ferrandini, who worked on the film and comes from his personal collection. It was sold by showbiz and movie memorabilia specialist auction house Propstore, based in the UK and the USA. The final price, which included buyer's premium, eclipsed the pre-sale estimate of up to $500,000 USD / €455.170 euros. Included with the fedora were photos of Ferrandini. who died aged 78 in 2023, in costume as Indiana Jones as well as a letter of authenticity signed by his wife Keefe Ferrandini.
