UKRAINE - JULY 26, 2024 - A serviceman who goes by call sign Palych is a deputy commander for psychological support at the Shkval (Squall) Battalion. Former prisoners who volunteered to defend Ukraine and were released on parole make up most of the Shkval Special Assault Battalion of the 57th Otaman Kost Hordiienko Motorized Brigade.
